We spotted three wild turkeys while walking the dogs on Thanksgiving Day! We've never seen these Turkeys before and right after we spotted them they flew up into this tree. Can you spot the third one? You might have to look in larger sizes.
This is pretty significant crop, I cut about 1/3d of the frame on the left. This is the first photo I've shared taken with my new 24mm lens. It just arrived the day before Thanksgiving and I haven't had time to use it much yet. I've shot hand held with it while walking the dogs a few times, but have yet to get it on a tripod. So far I like it though. It's sharp and fast, so it's fun to shoot hand held.
This photo was taken on my dad's birthday. Happy birthday Dad!
Critiques are always welcome.

on November 25, 2012I, too, agree that it is quite impressive to get this kind of bird capture with a 24mm lens.

on November 25, 2012Close Paul but the Turkey Vulture has a red head. These are black vultures. It's pretty impressive to get photos of wild birds with a 24mm.

on November 24, 2012I really like the photo, but after looking at the original (and spotting the third bird) they look to be vultures rather than wild turkeys
