Smoky Woods, near Broaddus TX
A black and white view of the controlled burn less than a mile from our favorite beach at Lake Sam Rayburn. The ground was still hot from the burn so I couldn’t really enter the woods very well. When I did enter my feet started heating up and there were fallen trees all around me so I got out right away. After that I pretty much took shots from the perimeter with my 135mm lens. I hope the burn worked and will preven forest fires, but it sure was a gloomy sight to see.
I’ve entered my first photo contest at the Texas Forest Trail Region Facebook page. One of the awards is the fan favorite voting contest, which comes with a $100.00 award. If you smuggers can help me win I’ll donate the $100.00 to the National Parks. If you don’t mind “liking” the Texas Forest Trail Region facebook page, please vote for my “Warm Grass Sunset” photo here. You can vote once a day for the next week. THANKS!
Critiques are always welcome.
