Nini Strikes a Pose, Columbia MO
My beautiful wife Nini giving me her best pose at Grindstone Nature Area. Isn't she beautiful? Nini has picked up a few posing tips over the last year just by having creativeLIVE on in the background during weekends and through trial and error.
This portrait is lit with all natural light about an hour before sundown. The sun is above and behind Nini and slightly to the camera left to light her hair. I'm holding a 16 inch gold reflector to the camera right just about head high to light her face. I shot this handheld, as I usually do for portraits. I used to use a big four foot reflector, but found that it's a lot easier to maneuver with a smaller reflector. I still use the big one, but only when I have a stand or an assistant to hold it.
By the way, I've got my blog up and running and trying to post every day. Right now I'm picking and choosing previous dailies to share on the blog, but eventually it will mirror my daily. Any feedback on my blog is greatly appreciated. Check it out here:
